As the year comes to an end, many people you meet this time of the year are suffering from fatigue.
In general terms, the year has been slightly better compared to the past two years which were severely impacted by Covid-19. Employees returned to their regular work routine with little disruptions. Again, we got caught up in the daily grind of work, businesses or school and forgot to slow down.
The holidays can be hectic in themselves with travelling, attending events, meeting up with family. By the time we know it, the holiday is over and we have not gotten any rest.
That’s why it is important to use the time you have off during the festive season to rest, revitalise and strategise on what you want to do next year. Dedicate time for yourself to recuperate. Have enough rest because it helps you function better and also boosts your immune system. Generally, we engage better with fellow humans when we are in a good mood.
This will have a positive impact on your mind and body going into the new year. The last thing you want to do is feel like you want to take another vacation when you return to work. So, let’s slow down and recuperate over the festive season.
In a similar vein, I wish to extend my warmest wishes for a happy holiday season, joyous and prosperous new year.
