Wednesday 2 November, OneAfrica celebrated new content agreements signed with a diverse group of talented local content providers.
The 6 partnerships added to the growing OneAfrica family include
the Dr Hage Geingob Rugby Cup, 'Cars and Gears,' Miss and Mister Supranational Namibia, 'The Third Will,' the Namflix series, and the 'Wild Namibia - Conservationists in Action’ reality series.
John Haynes, CEO of Namibian Rugby, was at the event promoting rugby in Namibia. The Dr Hage Geingob Cup will be broadcast live on OneAfrica this Saturday, 5 November at 16:00.
'Cars and Gears' producers, Richard Slamet and Francois Lottering, were also at the event. The weekly motoring show will cover off-roading, motorsports, electric cars and other interesting Namibian stories about machines with wheels. Shared values and a love for the Namibian landscape make this a perfect pairing.
The Miss and Mister Supranational Namibia organisers were joined by Mr. Supranational Namibia 2022, Jean-Louis Knouwds. This pageant is one of the Big 5 International pageants and will be aired on OneAfrica in 2023. Jean-Louis said he is "especially excited for the exposure of the Mister title as good male role models are important in our communities."
Producers and actors from Namibia's own 'The Third Will,' joined the party. Frans Kruger, the soapy's producer, explained that after researching the options, they felt OneAfrica offered the widest reach and future possibilities. Dice, who plays Michael Kamati in the show, said joining OneAfrica was exciting. "We can grow together," he said. The fourth season of 'The Third Will' is coming exclusively to OneAfrica in November.
